Hey!
I’ve just wrapped up my first climate week in NYC and am still processing the bustle of the experience while being back in the city as it transitions to fall.
Many of you who currently read this letter are not in climate community, and may be asking, “what is climate week and why does it matter?”
I want to acknowledge that moving forward so….
I’ve been reflecting on how I can bring you more of the raw, honest conversations my colleagues, clients, and friends in climate have been exchanging bts, inspiration, creativity, culture, and joy. And today, I’m excited to tell you about a shift I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
Bringing It All Together
I’m combining this newsletter with another I’ve been sending to a smaller group of creatives working in sustainability. Why? Because whether we’re talking about art, culture, or climate action, at the core, it’s all about living with purpose and navigating the world as creatives trying to make a difference.
What Does This Mean?
You’ll still receive the essays, personal reflections, and original photography you’ve come to expect—nothing’s changing there. But now, you’ll also get deeper insights into how sustainability intersects with creativity, climate justice, and the stories we tell. Here’s what’s coming your way:
Essays and candid reflections on the intersection of creativity, culture, and climate justice.
Inspiration from nature and my own experiences as a creative navigating the climate crisis.
Practical tips on building a purpose-driven creative career, with a focus on sustainability and storytelling.
My honest takes on art, world affairs, mindfulness, and the realities of trying to live with intention in today’s world.
Why the Change?
After bouncing between my climate community and my creative professional communities in real life, it’s become clear that many of you should know one another. I realized that splitting my energy between two newsletters wasn’t serving us. So I’m merging the two, creating a space that’s more reflective of the way all of these topics naturally overlap—allowing me to give you more depth, more value, and more of what moves me (and hopefully you, too).
What’s Next?
In the next issue, I’ll be diving into some of the people behind some of my most exciting creative projects in the climate space, plus sharing some personal stories and insights on how family and nature is influencing my own work right now. I’m thrilled to be bringing these worlds together and can’t wait to share what’s ahead with you.
As always, I love hearing from you. If you have any thoughts or ideas on what you’d like to see in this new combined format, just hit reply and let me know!
Thank you for being here—it means everything.
With awe,
Yarminiah
